World Peace

Dear Teammate,

The war in Iraq has gotten everyone’s attention. We worry about what will happen next.  We see vivid images on TV and it makes us question our security.  Are we safe?  What should I do?  Who should I turn to?  Will we ever see world peace?

In these uncertain times when many are looking for the answers to their deepest questions, we need to remember that there is only one source of true peace and that is in Jesus Christ. CLM continues to take the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to those who need it most – from universities across our nation to closed universities in restricted countries.

Osama Bin Laden studied management and economics at King Abdul Aziz University in Jedda Saudi Arabia, where he came under the influence of radical religious teaching. National and foreign missionaries have found it impossible to penetrate the Islamic university culture of the Middle East. But Christian professors have access to these institutions, where missionaries cannot go, and their academic articles and books are read by Islamic professors seeking to enhance their education.

Not long ago we sent a team of professors into the very classrooms and even the office of the president of a prestigious Islamic Middle Eastern university. It was the first time in memory that any non-Muslim had entered the school.  Our staff and professors walked right past the guards with automatic weapons because of the academic bridge professors have around the world. 

We also reach into universities all over the world through CLM’s flagship Internet site Leadership U (www.leaderu.com).  With this powerful tool we are able to bring more than 8,000 articles to the one million people who visit each month bringing God’s truth to the searching.

Patti and I are thankful for the opportunity to help bring the message of Christ to the Muslim world.  In the final analysis the only way to world peace will be through the Prince of Peace.
